Tooth Fairy Magic

Tooth Fairy Day is celebrated across the Dental World as a day to encourage children not to be afraid of the dentist and the dental challenges of growing up. As a child matures, they lose the baby teeth and develop the teeth that will sustain the smile of adulthood. Traditionally, children will place a tooth that has been lost under their pillow and the “Tooth Fairy” comes overnight to take the little white present and replace it with a special gift just for that child.

Years ago, it may have been a small coin left under a pillow, but thanks to inflation, the Tooth Fairy is leaving dollars these days. $3.70 is the average gift from the Tooth Fairy according to a recent survey conducted by Delta Dental. As the economy grows and adjusts, so does the monetary gift from the tooth fairy, little ticks to help reward the kids.

The tradition celebrates the Bravery and transition from youth to adult.

Today, Dentists everywhere use the day to help teach the importance of dental hygiene, oral health and the need for regular check ups.

Join us in celebrating this day with our own Marian Dental Clinic!
